A Media Production Collective
Corvid Capture is a small dedicated team of creatives all sharing a wide skillset across the media production genre. We pride ourselves in building short-form narratives of high-caliber quality.
The team carries experience in all forms of production from films to corporate environments; package design, corporate identities, e-learning models, music videos, modelling, documentaries and more. Irrespective of format however, compelling and emotive narrative are always a primary goal in each production.
Story comes first. Impact comes second...
And fun comes third. Though we acknowledge the importance and power of the visual medium it is also vital that we create productions which intrinsically carry a positive experience with them. Many of these romps can be followed on our socials.
Our Team
Together, we shoot, edit, laugh, obsess over light, debate what makes a perfect frame, and occasionally get sidetracked talking about Dungeons & Dragons, the latest anime drop, or whose turn it is to bring snacks to board game night.
There are just five of us, which means we all wear a few hats — and sometimes a cloak of invisibility (depending on the campaign). We work closely together on every project, and we treat every client like part of the party.
From first pitch to final export, we care deeply — about the craft, the outcome, and most of all, the people.

Michael du Toit
Operations Lead / Guy who holds things
Affectionately dubbed our “Operations Power Ranger,” Michael is the backbone of our behind-the-scenes magic. He builds spreadsheets like fortresses, makes our workflows seamless, and quietly clears the chaos so the rest of us can be creative. all while quietly collecting interesting moss from the corners of remote filming locations. He’s the quiet MVP who makes sure everything ticks behind the scenes, and the brave soul holding lights in gravity-defying positions at Alden’s request. His love language is clean data and perfectly coiled cables.
Marissa Adriaanse
Editing Queen / Cat Smoocher
The calm in the post-production storm, Marissa is the one who makes our edits sing. Whether it’s wild safari footage or high-glam fashion, she brings emotion, rhythm, and impeccable detail to every frame. She’s equal parts technical and creative — known for slipping anime vibes into car ads and making even a blooper reel feel cinematic. her edits are known to make both clients and the team swoon. Her daily ritual? Greeting the office cats with a kiss and then diving into the timeline like the pro she is.
Elmien du Toit
Mini Beast Expert / Visual Alchemist
Part visual artist, part gacha strategist, all-round creative powerhouse. Elmien sees the world through a lens most people miss — whether she’s crafting stunning stills, editing wildlife shots, or illustrating for our sister brand Corvid Curiosities. With a head full of bug facts and a heart full of soft aesthetics, she’s our composition queen. Also known to disappear into her sketchbook or suddenly drop a fact about trilobites. It’s a vibe.
Lily & Kimchi
Executive Producers / Morale Officers
Lily (the fiery ginger gal) and Kimchi (our lovable, clumsy floof) are the true heartbeat of the office. When they’re not aggressively supervising keyboard activity or correcting typos by walking across emails mid-send, they’re making sure we take breaks, stretch our legs.
Lily runs a tight ship, demanding chin scritches and punctual meals with dramatic flair. Kimchi prefers to lead with love, usually by flopping into your lap mid-edit or snoring through client calls. Together, they keep our laps warm, our hearts full, and our office just the right amount of chaotic.
